About this dataset

  • Snapshot prepared on 2026-10-09. This is not a live service. The source update date can be earlier.
  • All 3,895 records in the reviewed snapshot are retained, with all source fields and record IDs. This layer is not a complete inventory of all places in the region.
  • Source coordinates use WGS84. Altitude and measure values are omitted.
  • 85 invalid source geometries were repaired with Shapely linework make_valid. Polygon holes and collapsed lines or points are retained. Repair can change filled areas where source rings cross or overlap.
  • Geometry was simplified locally with a 0.0001 degree tolerance and topology preservation. Records that could not be simplified to valid geometry retain their repaired geometry.
  • This map is for overview use. Do not use it for precise boundary measurement.
