About this dataset

This map contains 34,438 mapped records for European high-speed railway lines. OpenStreetMap coverage depends on local contributors.
The map includes active rail tracks explicitly marked as high speed in the selected European countries. Sidings, spurs, and yards are excluded. Only records with usable line geometry are included. Coverage includes European countries within 34° to 72° north and 25° west to 45° east. Turkey and land east of this window are not included.

Only active rail tracks with the high-speed tag are included. Construction and disused tracks are absent. Tag coverage varies by country.
Line and boundary detail is reduced by up to 0.0001 degrees for map display. Use the source for detailed measurements.
