- This is the version 1.3.0 archive. WRI stopped maintaining the database in 2022.

- Use fuel and capacity fields to compare the historical distribution of power generation sites.
- Capacity is in megawatts. It is not electricity generated over a period.
- Coverage and record dates vary by country. The archive was retrieved on 15 September 2026.
